Delete your Clockit account

You can delete your Clockit account at any time, free of charge. It's permanent: the account can't be recovered afterwards.

From the app (fastest)

  1. Open Clockit and tap the Me tab.
  2. In the “Settings and privacy” section, tap Pause, data and account.
  3. At the bottom, tap Delete my account, then Yes, delete everything.

Deletion is immediate. If you just need a breather, Take a break (in the same settings) takes you out of the drops without erasing anything.

Without the app

Email [email protected] from your account's email address, with the subject “Delete my Clockit account”. We confirm the request and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner. If the email doesn't come from the account's address, we'll ask you to confirm from that address: that's what stops someone else from deleting your account.

Your Clockit+ subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription: it is managed by the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it first in your Apple or Google account settings, otherwise it will keep renewing.

What is erased

  • Your account and your email address.
  • Your profile: first name, date of birth, gender, city, location, photos, answers, interests, lifestyle, “Right now”, your codes and your preferences.
  • Your verification selfie, if it hadn't already been deleted.
  • Your likes, Clockits, passes and matches.
  • Your conversations and voice messages, on both sides.
  • Your planned dates, your settings, your travel mode, your notification tokens and the record of your consents.

What is kept, and why

  • Reports you made or that concern you, with the copy frozen at the time of the report (first name, reason, last messages of the conversation). They protect members, for example by recognizing a banned person who comes back, and let us respond to requests from authorities. Only our moderation team can access them.
  • Purchase records of a subscription, at Apple, Google and RevenueCat, under their own rules and tax obligations.
  • The weclockit.com waitlist, if you signed up: it is separate from the app; the unsubscribe link in our emails erases it.
