How it works

From sign-up to your first date, here's what happens in Clockit, step by step.

1. Create your account

   You get a six-digit sign-in code: no password to remember, or to have stolen. You enter your date of birth: Clockit is for people 18 and older.

2. Get verified

   A selfie with a simple prompt (turn your head slightly). It never shows, and it's deleted as soon as the decision is made. The "Verified profile" label reassures the people you meet.

3. Fill in your profile

   • The basics: first name, gender, who you want to meet, city, distance.
   • Your intention (something serious, see where it goes, friends…) and your languages.
   • Your lifestyle, field by field, each visible or private. Private means: used to pick profiles for you, never shown.
   • Your interests, including three "really me" ones highlighted in gold.
   • Your photos, your answers to prompts, and "Right now": what you're listening to, watching or admiring these days.

4. Sign the pact

   Four promises before your profile goes live: consent is a clear yes; zero ghosting; respect each other's boundaries; meet safely.

5. Get your drop at 7 p.m.

   Every evening, twelve profiles picked for you based on your intentions, interests, languages and lifestyle. No endless scrolling: once you've seen them all, that's it until tomorrow. If someone clocked you, their profile comes first.

6. Like or clock

   A like says "I'm into you." A Clockit says "I noticed that," about one specific detail. You get 3 a day for free, 10 with Clockit+. When you've both picked each other, it's a match, and the screen shows what each of you noticed.

7. Talk, then meet

   • Text messages, and voice notes only if you've both said yes.
   • The "this or that" game to break the ice.
   • The "Should we meet?" button only appears once you've both tapped it: nobody puts themselves out there alone.
   • Before the date, the app helps you let someone you trust know when you'll be back.

8. End things kindly

   If it's not a fit, a ready-made closing note ends the chat on both sides. You pick the tone: thanks for the chat, not the right vibe, not the right time, or I met someone.
